My name is Oscar Jerome Barrett, but I m well known as Lil Jay. I was born in West Dallas, Texas. I was inspired to sing and play the guitar by Jimmy Hendrix and guys like Albert King, BB King, and Stevie Rayvon, just to name a few. I have opened shows for guys like the Mighty O`Jays, Clarence Carter, Vernon Garrett, RL Griffin, ZiZi Hill, and Ernie Johnson just to name a few. I have been in the music buisness all my life.
