My name is Oscar Jerome Barrett, but I m well known as Lil Jay. I was born in West Dallas, Texas. I was inspired to sing and play the guitar by Jimmy Hendrix and guys like Albert King, BB King, and Stevie Rayvon, just to name a few. I have opened shows for guys like the Mighty O`Jays, Clarence Carter, Vernon Garrett, RL Griffin, ZiZi Hill, and Ernie Johnson just to name a few. I have been in the music buisness all my life. I am currently working on my album. Im 2005 I released my first single, " Sweet Thang", and then went on to release two other singles," Short Stacking and the Lords Prayer". I currently live in Garland, Texas. On weekends you can find me playing in clubs in the Dallas Metroplex Area and Houston.
