Is a platform for a forgotten memory of music of the old Balkans, which has for centuries been at the crossroads of peoples and cultures - Serbia, Romania, Bulgaria, Hungary... or to be more specific – Vojvodina, Transylvania, Erdély... The main instrument which is used to play this music to this day is the tambura (tamburitza), which is why the musicians and orchestras are called tamburasi (tamburitza players). Orchestras usually have 5 to 7 members and the instruments are: the bass, the kontra, the bass-prim, the cello, and the prim.
This is the music to love, dance, celebrate and cry to. It is used for weddings and funerals.
It is usually performed by Gypsies who adopted all these elements and gave them a touch of their character and their philosophy of living for the moment...
Since a destination is not only a place, but a state of mind, we invite you on a trip through the exotic world of wooden taverns by the river Danube which are called Chardas, where you can feel the pulse and the fire which is still burning in this music...
