Claudia Antonelli was born in Rome and studied in Rome,Brussels and Paris.She received awards in Venice and Jerusalem.She performed as a soloist in recitals,with orchestras and chamber music,in the most important Italian venues presented by Accademia di S.Cecilia,Accademia Chigiana,Teatro alla Scala,Festival di Spoleto,Biennale di Venezia etc.and all over Europe,Japan,Australia,USA,Canada,Brazil,China and South Africa.She also performed as a soloist with Virtuosi di Roma and Solisti Veneti,with Rias Berlin Orchester,Salzburger Mozarteum Orchester,ORF Orchester at Salzburg Festival,Wienerkammerorchester,Hessisches Theater Orchester,Prague Chamber Orchestra and many others.Especially she performed at Carnegie Hall,Queen Elizabeth Hall,Konzertgebow,Wienerkonzerthaus,Musikhalle, Beethovenhalle and Philharmonie Berlin.She worked as a soloist with conductors as Igor Markevich,Yuri Temirkanov,Giuseppe Sinopoli,Eduardo Mata,Leopold Hager,Peter Maag,Hans Graf,Philippe Entremont and instrumentalists as Severino Gazzelloni,Jean-Pierre Rampal,Wolfgang Schulz,Andras Adorjan,Dino Asciolla,Bruno Giuranna,Garth Knox and Vladimir Mendelsohn.
She recorded CD for Arts and Naxos.
Many contemporary Italian composers,as Petrassi,Donatoni,Bussotti,Sciarrino,Pennisi,Mortari,Bortolotti,Testi,Ugoletti,Renosto,Vandor,Mirigliano,Laganà ,De Rossi Re,dedicated some of their works to her which she played as a first performance.
