About Fatal Image Entertainment | Fatal Image grew up in a normal middle class neighborhood in Shreveport; La. However, inside his home was anything but normal. After his father left at four years old, everything changed, between the constant bickering and fighting of his divorced parents, the lawyers and the court. Much attention was focused on court and winning. The kids where kinda ignored and used as mules for messages from parent to parent. Soon between the father who played helpless, and a mother who dove into the role as a super provider, the cycle of drugs, alcohol, and abuse would begin to implant its seed of destruction. Since Fatal was the youngest, there was more time being molded by chaos then anything productive or nurturing. Later this led to a path of gang’s, drugs and violence that spiraled out of control. Finally after many brushes with the law and minor charges, Fatal found himself in jail. Fatal faced a charge of principal of second degree murder. Principal to second degree murder is a charge in which, the penalty, is open to carry the same amount of time as anyone convicted. While incarcerated Fatal rekindle the love for poetry. Fatal, says, “It became his hustle, I found out I could sell my words”. While attending a church session at West Max CDC, Fatal recited a poem he had written; the cell block became so quiet you hear a pin drop. Afterwards the pastor told him, in nine years of preaching in jails around the country, he had never heard it get that quiet. Fatal would begin to write poems for store, for the other inmates. Fatal made a promise to himself and the other inmates that when he got out he would pursue his lyrics. At nineteen years old, after three months, Fatal was released. He then recorded his first tape. Although it was low quality, it was well sought after locally. His popularity grew & so his journey begun……. |
