| About Alex Taylor Band | Music Is Life, and has been for a long time in the Ackerman family. This can be seen in the passion that is put into every note we play. From age 16 Taylor has fronted some version of an Alex Taylor Band with his father, Pat always holding things together on the bass. Influences started with classics like John Mayall, Muddy Waters, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Lonnie Mack and continued in every direction from Jimi Henrdrix, Led Zepplin, The Allman Brothers, The Black Crowes and Bob Dylan. Canadian content has always been emphasize, from Neil Young, and The Band to The Tragically Hip, and Big Sugar. We have been working hard to perfect our sound which could be described as heavy and full, sometimes loud if the occasion is right, but we have know problem in keeping it soft in-order to make everynight enjoyable. We believe that our music is an art, but part of our artform also includes entertaining, if the audience isn't happy neither are we.
