A Singer Songwriter & performer of Celtic Song,I enjoy most types of Folk Music..Traditional & Contemporary.Music has always been part of my soul and I appreciate all types of music.I've never been rigid with Genre boundaries.As a young child,I spent years in Competition Festivals where I performed Solos & Duets.Nowadays,things are much more relaxed & I love the challenge of songwriting,being a soloist & a member of Trochrague Duo, and BJAI (pronounced--Bejay),a 4 piece Folk/Country Band that includes Billy Stenhouse,Jamie Rogers,Irene Rice,and me.To accompany our vocals we have Guitars,Mandolin/Mandola,Bandolin,Cittern,Bodhrans,various percussion instruments...We have a colourful sound that is built on a foundation of fun and working hard.The craic in the band is great & we always say that humour is an esential ingredient in our performing...I've COMPLETED my solo DEBUT Album ,which includes the other members of BJAI and other musicians .It also has Scottish Weans performing the Street Songs and taking part in some choruses...The Album..." WAN MAIR MILE ", has a mix of my own Songs; Traditional Celtic;Glasgow Street Songs,& a Duo with American Singer Sonwriter-Dan Chavers.It will be available on this site very soon.I hope you will enjoy it as much as I have in the making,Cheers, Anne
