About Unity Gain | Unity Gain moves in the alternative rock genre with focus on strong dynamics, ranging from minimalist and emotional soundscapes to hard pumping drum driven guitar noise rock. The solid core of Unity Gain are Eva Maria (vocal), Karsten Viese (guitar) and Klavs Dideriksen (drums), supplemented live by an extra guitarist and a bass player. The band members have their roots in very different musical backgrounds, from old school hardcore punk to the classical musical genre, and as a band they try to bring fragments of the diversity together into a stronger whole and create a reinforced singularity. Hence the name Unity Gain. The lyrics are a very important part of the whole and are about thoughts and frustrations about mankind's lacking abilities and the effect this might have on the human mind. Unity Gain are not afraid to share out of themselves and their innermost, which adds a very personal touch to the songs. The music is always used to underline or enhance the mood of the lyrics. This is done without regard to the instruments in the band and the songs are free to create their own lives. Unity Gain's debut album 'Beyond the Moot Point' was released on the 18'th December 2009 on Rescape Music. The album contains 12 personal songs about frustrations - change - prostitution - realization - renunciation - loneliness - intensity - powerlessness - solidarity - desperation - self-knowledge - obsession - unfaithfulness - needs - gratitude - lies - emptiness - love - vulnerability - courage - guilt - conflicts - honesty - division - thoughtfulness - longing - schizophrenia - optimism. |
