About Da Marvelous Prince | Marvelous Prince They call me MP, which is short for Marvalous Prince. My real name is T. Purcell, which is the name my mom gave me. I was born on December 29, 198?, to the greatest woman in the world, Georgia Miller. Growing up for me was a struggle. We went from rags to riches, well middle class that was due to her hard work and dedication. This bio as well as my career is dedicated to her. Raised on the streets of Coney Island, Brooklyn NY was rough. From having no heat to any hot water was difficult but we made it through and moved on to Flatbush, where my mom has a house and doing it big. Music has always been in my blood. When I was about 10 yrs old, I wrote a rap about street fighter. My sister and I use to recite it to one another. She is not a rapper but it was something to do. I knew back then that I may have potential but at age 10, you are not sure what you would like to do with your life. After that, I then started writing things and really fooling around with the idea of being a “rapper”. I had no idea I would be good at it. As I got older, the understanding of the music biz became more and more intriguing and I started opening up more and learning more. I started doing things with groups such as Deep and started collaborating with DJ Envy’s people to get on mixed C.D’s. After my experiences in NY City, I decided to take my talent on the road to South Florida. Once getting there, I linked up with a popular DJ by the name of DJ nasty it was a perfect fit for me. He took me on as an artist and formed the group Vigilantees with my self and another artist. We went from studio to studio laying down fire tracks and it was then I perfected my flow. I preformed in clubs wherever he could book me such as club Elite, Sin, Flow, Rumbas and Coco Bongos in West Palm Beach machine, Sobe and Level in Miami and side clubs in Fort Lauderdale. I also had the privilege to perform at a number of his concerts indepby of artist like Suave smooth, Rick Ross, Dirty Red, “Funk Master Flex” Car Show via A.t.l, Young Bloodz, Da Muzicans, Ying yang twins, T-pain, Lil Webbie, Cuban link. The more and more I performed my style became tighter and my name became real known Marvelous Prince was now all over the streets. The mix tapes I was on also gave me a lot of recognition such as street wars vol 6, real nasty ENT Concert Series, and the Palm Beach problem child in the Florida and NY industry. I am No longer a member of the group vigilantes. My Partner and I decided to part and go our own way. The Name Marvelous Prince was not just a name it became a fashion and my way of life, just pushing me forward to the next venue so that one day I could become the artist with not just a flow, but also a style. I am my own brand and the world will have to buy me. |
