About The River Junction Band

Forget the country band stereotypes: The best way to describe a River Junction Band performance, is progressive, aggressive, rockin' Country at its best. Boasting solid 4 part male and female armonies, and drawing on influences as diverse as Johnny Cash, Loretta Lynn, AC/DC & The Rolling Stones. The result is country music with a definite edge. Coming off the win for Best Country Act at the 2010 Toronto Independent Music Awards, the band continues to be in demand to bring its high-energy show to appreciative audiences and a growing fan-base. They do this by manintaining a very busy performing schedule in the clup and festival circuit. The band has had the pleasure of supporting such major acts as: Toby Keith, Aaron Pritchett, The Roadhammers, Travis Tritt, Julian Austin, Jamie Warren, Johnny Feid, Doc Walker George Canyon, Beverly Mahood, & Tara Oram.
With its busy schedule, it's wondered how the band found time to record a debut EP at EMAC Recording studios in London Ontario in 2009. The effort was produced by Robert Nation, and it garnered airplay at numerous stations all across Canada. On-air interviews followed, and the songs sold briskly at RJB shows and on I-Tunes.
However, the band didn't expect how well received their music would be in Europe, with "Born Country' placing in the top 20 European Country Music Association Charts for the U.K., Belgium, Norway, Denmark, and Switzerland.

The River Junction Band is honoured in being perennially nominated, and winning an award for "Most Popular Country Act" by Scene Magazine readers. They were also finalists in the "Best Live" Category, and won, "Best Country" act at the 2010 Toronto Independent Music Awards. But the most rewarding moments fo the band, is when they're on stage getting the audience rockin', and creating new fans along the way.
