About Papa Jay Music | BIOGRAPHY: Elvis Jackson Etuah, with a stage name “Papa Jay, is a Ghanaian orthodox Reggae music expressionist and Artist based in Ghana, Kumasi. He was born on 6th June 1957 in Kumasi at Mmrom where he schooled. He continued his basic education at K.O. Methodist Primary School, after he had spent a year in Adum Presbyterian School also in Kumasi. Six years later, he continued to secondary cycle institution or Senior high School at College of Art and Industry where he studied Fine Arts, Pottery and Ceramics in Ayigya Kumasi and completed that cycle in the year 1979. According to Papa Jay, his father was a great musician who played almost all the instrument he had in his cabinet, and that he was inspired by the numerous talent his father, Mr. William Somerville Jackson Etuah had. He usually listens to his father as he plays these instruments; he wanted to be like him. As a kid he was inspired by his father; and the songs of the great Legend Bob Marley, and other top Reggae Artists such as Max Romeo of whose songs truly inspired him. “Musically, the brightness of these people quickened his spirit to be what he is today. Papa Jay, real named Elvis Jackson Etuah released songs like Agyanka Dabrem and Fire Down the Road (FIRE DOWN) all produced by Elvis Jackson Etuah, staged named Papa Jay. He has worked with Artistes like………………… and …………………. In the near future, Papa Jay wants to be seen as one of the greatest Malignant Expressionist Acts in Reggae Music Ghana has ever had.
