About Macc Bucc
|
When you say "Dallas Rap", usually artists like "Big Chief" and "Tum Tum" come to mind, but Dallas has another legend on his way to super-stardom. Macc Bucc, a Dallas native, well known street figure and widely considered to be an "OG" across town, in 2008 decided to release his life on track and start a record label, representing his name "Bucc Up Records". The wildest stories can be told about this man, especially his life experiences, some say he has been through it all. "Respect is the only way an artist out of Dallas is going to get on period and we feel like Bucc already has that level of respect" says Bucc Up Records President Corey Johnson."Fly" is a word used to decribe Bucc, and can also be defined as "The Boss". Most known for his cars whether its his Range Rover, Bentley, Pink 69' Impala or the other 27 cars parked in front of his East Dallas home , Bucc always stays fly and his swag is undeniable. The anticipation has already started for Bucc, who turns 29 in August, for his debut album release "Ten Toes Down" and his new single "Ten Toes Down", which is set to release by Spring of 2009 under his record label, In Grooves Distribution and Select-O-Hits. The release will be captivated by the "ultimate promotional team" states Bucc Up Records VP Jared Rice. "I think the release itself is going to shock a lot of people, the team that we have behind this project is ready for war, and I am confident in Bucc's talent and the talent around him to a point where we can spend alot more money on a project than we usually would for this type of artist, watch out, this is going to be a wild ride, I promise" he said. Johnson and Rice, better known for their nationally renowned website "TXRaps.com", joined Bucc in 2008 to help launch Bucc's rap career. "If you told me their was a better artist in Dallas, I'd tell you to put your money where your mouth is, because at the end of the day in this industry, its all about your paper trail, it takes money to make money" said Johnson."I'm the realest of all time", says Bucc when asked how he compares to other acts in Dallas. Bucc undeniably delivers on beats, totally different and better than most artist around town, has a different swag than all the other Dallas artists and his lyrical ability is sometimes considered one of the best in D-Town, and not only best but a living true story on every track. Bucc often gets comparisons to Shawty Lo's freakish style, and his production is detailed to the old school Houston style. With an album on the way, and super-stardom just right around the corner, you can expect to see "Macc Bucc" on your nearest street corner, light pole, school hallway, Radio shows, TV shows & your favorite publications. Sounds like "The Realest of All Time" is here to stay.
