| About The Penny Magic Show | The Penny Magic Show was originally created in 1984 by Penny Pearce the writer of the hit song "The Shrink". Some may call it "Why do you think you are nuts?". Penny has a video on You Tube that a fan posted 25 years of the original "Penny Magic Show" Performing the Shrink live on a Public Television show. The Penny Magic Show has been resurrected and has just re recorded "The Shrink" There are alos some other songs that we will be releasing in the next 30 days written by Penny Pearce and her daughter Salli Varney. The band members are David Varney on Rythym Guitar, Matt Williams on Lead Guitar and Drums on the record, Aaron Golden on Bass, Beandip on Guitar, Salli Varney and Chelcie Laggis on vocals and Penny Pearce of course as lead vocal. The vision of the remaking of The Penny Magic Show is to spread awareness for people all around the world about emotional illness and the fact that not all people in the mental health field are in that job to help you. There are good people in the field but there are also bad people who do not have the right motives to be helpling someone to deal with emotional illness. The Penny Magic Show has started a foundation called the "Why do you think you are nuts" Foundation which is created to provide resources to help people find a good counselor or Therapist or Doctor that is qualified and cares. We also have a vision at the foundation to provide help to those who can't afford it. A portion of the proceeds from the sales of the music will go to the foundation to provide this support. We are recording our album as we speak and should have our music available very shortly. We will be making the track "The Shrink" available right away as several people have asked about how to get it. Penny Pearce is an amazing writer and another most amazing thing is that she is 65 years old. Her music is truly timeless and she is very talented. In fact when you hear the new track you will see that the quality is much superior to the You Tube video. She is still very young at heart and looks great! The band is a group of very talented individuals that come to us from other bands who see the vision of this project and the abiltiy to create wonderful music. The song "The Shrink" is a satire song about a Shrink who really doesn't care about his patient and tells them so. It is meant for humor about a serious subject. The other songs like I am a Catalyst, You could blow up the world or..., have a messge as well and they are fun to listen to and make you think. We know you will enjoy the music and experience something amazing in the process of listening.
