About the honeybuckets

Since 2002 The Honeybuckets have been plying their musical trade writing, recording and performing finely crafted tunes that sound at once fresh and familiar. With a pop sensibility at heart, the band effortlessly explores the realms of jazz, rock, roots and fusion while consistently maintaining a distinctive style.

2005 saw the independent release of The Honeybuckets' debut album "Golden Delicious". The 10-song CD stayed mostly under the radar but was nonetheless lauded by a small yet devoted group of fans and contemporaries. Following this release, the band focused on perfecting their live performance chops, playing shows with the likes of Flying Fox and The Hunter Gatherers, Paper Moon, Olivier Jarda, The Bonaduces, Patrick Alexandre and the F-Holes, The Haste and Ian La Rue including a legendary set at the 2007 Shine Thru Rain Music Festival.

In 2008, The Honeybuckets released their second full-length album "Mayday" in its entirety as a free download accessible to anyone with an internet connection. Since the album was recorded independently at no cost, the band members decided to give it away with the sole motive of reaching a wider audience. This innovative move not only facilitated distribution but resulted in a dramatic increase in recognition as well.

Currently, The Honeybuckets are playing frequent local shows while planning for a video shoot and North American tour in 2009.
