| About BILL DOWE | Bill Dowe is a Singer, Songwriter based out of Winston Salem, N. C. since 1969. He’s been playing music since he was 10 years old. “I started on guitar right after watching the Beatles first performance on the Ed Sullivan show in Brooklyn N. Y. circa 1964” That is when I decided what I wanted to do with my life. I wanted to write and perform and make the ladies scream with enthusiasm just like the lads from Liverpool did. For 30 years I've been playing in Bands all around the Triad area and started writing music after a brief stay in Nashville, TN. Nashville taught me that you couldn’t come there sounding like Willie or Waylon and expect to make a living. A Producer who I met in a local pub told me to go home and write some new songs about the same old subjects, wife leaving, dog dying and losing your job, etc. I did this and over the years I have penned close to 60 songs. They’re all me! My New CD, "Same Breath Different Air"... was released on April 1, 2008. (No Fooling!) I want to share some of these tunes with you. I guarantee you’ll love the music. I’ve let numerous local musicians hear it and I’ve had nothing but positive feedback. Laura Lee Bond, another Yankee Transfer residing in Winston Salem, NC, sat in on this project with her magnificent vocals and professional approach. Many thanks and Love to you Laura Lee Bond!
