About Mike Haywood

Since the tender age of 3, Mike has always had an interest in singing and performing, and it was this interest that led him to his first TV appearance back in 1994, when he appeared on Michael Barrymore’s My Kind Of People performing “I Would Do Anything For Love” by Meatloaf.

Following this early taste of performing live, Mike continued to sing at informal gatherings throughout his early years, until reaching the age of 10 when he decided to record his very first album. This was the first of three albums that Mike recorded before his 18th birthday, and he sold in excess of 2,000 Albums in the process.

This success was achieved predominantly due to Mike’s busy performance schedule between 2005 and 2007, where he toured the North of England performing in an array of venues. From Weddings to Corporate Events and Regional Competitions, Mike did it all, with his biggest achievements coming in 2005 and 2006 respectively.

In 2005, Mike performed as Bobby Darin on Stars In Their Eyes Kids hosted by Cat Deeley, reaching the Final in the process. The following year, Mike was in competition again, but this time in a Regional Competition known as The Voice. Mike went on to win this competition after his Live Performances at The Dome Arena, and from this event his regional success was confirmed.

However, following a successful spell of performances and events during this period, it was Mike’s 19th Birthday that would see the turning point in his career, when he became heavily involved in a range of business activities. It was Mike’s love of business and rapid development within the corporate world that would see him “hang up his microphone” for the next three years, and no longer participate in either the live performance circuit or recording studios he had previously frequented….until now!

This year, following several months of discussion with one of the UK’s leading Big Bands, Mike decided it was time for him to get back in the studio; and this time, he would be accompanied by Phil Dando and his Big Band. Not only would this allow Mike to produce that Live Big Band recording sound he had always dreamed of, but it would also allow him to produce this great album that he could distribute to his listeners; which was something he had longed to do after being away from performing for so long.

And so here we have All Of Me, the latest Album from the Bublé-style Crooner, Mike Haywood. This album encompasses all of Mike’s rich tones with the unmistakable sound of the Live Big Band, which together produce that addictive Swing sound that you can’t stop listening to.
