About CommonbonD

CommonbonD is the acclaimed acoustic partnership of female singer-songwriters Mary Beth de Pompa and Ashley Miller. Serving up an eclectic blend of blues-edged folk/rock, the DC-based duo has been compared to everything from the Queen of Blues Bonnie Raitt to Indigo Girls to the Barenaked Ladies. Their live performances have endeared audiences in 42 states and 2 US territories. Their chemistry onstage makes every performance unique to its own and seeing them live is nothing short of a party. Their snappy tunes and clever banter have won over crowds young and old. And, both appear to have been born with guitars in their hands as they switch duties of lead vocals and lead guitar.

Commonbond released 6 indie CD's. They produced the last 3 in their in home studio. They've won numerous indie band and songwriting awards, recognized by the Washington Area Music Ass.(WAMA) as well as ASCAP writing accolades.

In January 2006, after a wonderful 12-year recording and touring career as CommonbonD, Mary Beth and Ashley performed their final shows as CommonbonD for an indefinite period. The decision to pursue other interests and try new avenues was a hard-made one for each.

Ashley continues playing at a local level. She has worked in producing new artist. Mary Beth has performed occasionally for various charity events. She also continues to produce and is now working as dj for XM radio. She hopes to continue to discover new talents and help in launching the careers for up and coming singer/songwriters.
