| About One Gun Solution | About... O.G.S. is like a well oiled self driving machine delivering melodic and metal riffs at any given moment bringing energy and explosion all the while keeping the GROOVE that will rise and fall taking fans on one hell of a ride from start to finish! Description... One Gun Solution is rock band from Central Oklahoma consisting of former members of Curbside, Raymond Dick (bass), Jim Paterson (drums), and Matt Francis (guitar). Joining forces and fronting the band, Dave Washburn (vox) originally from the first One Gun Solution lineup came in and helped collaborate with the rest of the members to create a new and unique sound. The band formed around March 2011 and in about a months time hit the local scene and started playing shows. Their first of which was held at the Cox Convention Center in downtown Oklahoma City for the massive event Ink Life Tour performing in front of at least a thousand fans. One Gun is one of the hardest working and dedicated bands on the scene. Working with Promoters such as Tony Proctor (Big Papa Productions), Jimmy Black (Atramental Entertainment), The Painted Dolls, Sick Boyz Body Piercing, Cannibal Graphics Tattoo Studio and many, many more. One Gun Solution plans to bring only the best to an already awesome and original music scene not only here in Oklahoma but around the globe! When One Gun isn't playing shows for other promoters and venue holders, they also with the help of Paterson Productions put on shows in Oklahoma with the some of the best sound and cheapest admission fees! Brief Interview... How do you describe your music? Its like a well oiled self driving machine delivering melodic and metal riffs at any given moment. You take the bands influences and you have One Gun Solution's recipe for energy and explosion all the while keeping the "GROOVE" that will rise and fall at will taking the fans on one hell of a ride from start to finish. What is your motivation to record and release your music? There are two parts to our motivation to record and release. One is our dedication to each other and our undying love for one another and music in itself. One Gun Solution is definitely more of a family than just a band. We all are in tune with each other from one degree to another. There is so much creativity in One Gun its almost hard to keep up. Each members writing style is just a touch different from the others yet never out of anyone’s range to compliment whatever is brought to the table all the while keeping it "One Gun" music and what we do. Music is medicine for the body mind and soul and ours needs all that as well even though we are part of the creative process. We truly love not only what we are fortunate to do but each piece of music we write. The second part is the FANS! Without all the beautiful people out there and their undying love for music alone aside from what we do, we would not have such the drive, dedication and determination to get all our music written, recorded and shared with the world. Of course we like to write music we love but also aim to write what the world may love as well and together we can all have one big endless party. What are your short and long-term music goals? Short term goals are kind of the base for long term goals. We try and sit down and decide what are long term goals are and then decide the best way to map out some short term goals to get there. Goals for One Gun are basically simple when laid out on the table. We want to continue to write and record for as long as we possibly can. In between writing and recording we want to step foot on every piece of soil the world has to offer and make a stamp there. We want to leave each place not only knowing we left something behind there but also took something from there as well. There is something extremely special your fans give you from one place to another being that every culture is different. For example in America it is tradition for the music we play to maybe see mosh and circle pits but in Asia it is custom to see and hear silence as a form of appreciation. So we definitely take something very special and different from every place. Interests... To never stop doing what we love most in life....making music! |
