| About Simple Southern Boys | DERYLE HUGHES - SINGER, GUITAR, BLUES HARP, PRODUCER & CO-WRITER Deryle Hughes was raised in Central Florida and at the tender age of 16 was inspired by Edgar & Johnny Winter to become a world class singer. He taught himself how to play guitar, slide guitar and blues harp and began writing and developing songs in the mid 1990's. Deryle has been singing and touring in the Southeast United States for most of his career. Over the years, the bands that he has played in are: Sons of Doctors, Big Shot & Simple Southern Boys. Throughout his career as a musician he has opened for recording artists: Foreigner, Journey, Eddie Money, Foghat, Van Halen, Sammy Hagger and too many others to mention. Deryle has also produced his own music for many years as well as the music of other artists. After putting out several cd's, Deryle decided to focus his efforts on writing "All Revved Up", a cd which was released in 2009 and has gone platinum plus in every country but the United States. Most recently, he has refocused his efforts on creating new music with his partner Doug Bare, for the new cd "Highway Never Ends", which will be released on May 7, 2012. He has also been working to create a strong web presence here in the United States and around the world. DOUG BARE - KEYBOARDS, PROGRAMMING, VOCALS & CO-WRITER. Raised in New Orleans, Louisiana, Doug Bare grew up in the French Quarter and began playing piano at age 8. As his passion for music grew, Doug graduated from the piano to playing the Hammond B-3 organ by the time he was 10 years old. Doug’s' musical inspiration came from the local music of New Orleans as well as the music of Motown, the Doors and Stax record artists: Earth Wind & Fire, Led Zepplin and Johnny & Edgar Winter, just to name a few. Later, Doug went on to record and tour the world with John Mayall and Mercury Records Artists: Whiteface, Mothers Finest, Blackfoot, Pat Travers, as well as the late, great Paul Davis. Doug and his partner Deryle Hughes, joined forces in 2010 and they have been writing and recording together ever since. He is the keyboard player, co-writer and does some vocals for Simple Southern Boys. Doug creates and arranges their music on Apple Logic DAW. After outlining the arrangements, Doug Bare & Deryle Hughes then co-produce with other musicians to create a sound that is uniquely theirs. SIMPLE SOUTHERN BOYS is now looking forward to the release on May 7, 2012 of their new cd "THE HIGHWAY NEVER ENDS".
