| About WaveTable OneWord 2013 | The compositions contained in the four Collections Giant Island,This needs a name, Endurance and Progress. Are all self Penned by me Roy Heflin with the exception of two cover songs which are “Lucky Man” and “Queen Jane”. I played all the Instruments, recorded and edited the whole ball of wax. One instant real time collaboration was performed with the keyboardist Mr Bob Martin and that one is his work. If you have sampled My Music at all you know it is not your usual radio friendly fare. What I attempt to do is find styles of music that have not yet been brought into existence. A tall order. In most outlets My works are listed under Rock or Jazz only because there is no all inclusive term to describe these Audio Events. I do not often follow regular conventions. A one-four-five chord progression is not my cup of tea. Very seldom do I use short and often repeated motifs (what a rocker would call riffs) nor do I often use step wise motion ascending or descending to a well established tonic note for relief. The tonic note usually is not the root of the Key or Keys the piece is written. I do not use standard time signature. I do not use tone row formulas. So whats left !
