Born in Salisbury Md, the 3rd of five sons to 1 man and 1 woman;Raymond Maddox aka Tobyn Fross grew up in strong family ties and at an early age had a "nack" for entertaining. As time passed and his parents divorced found himself in a predicament he didn't want to be. It was eithier the standing circumstances or return to what he once knew as an child. He chose the latter. After overcoming many opsticals to have only come so little way, Raymond Maddox hit the studio with hopes of being a singer, one who would croon the world to a better place. When that wasn't happening and with non-refundable booked studio time,decided to give the "time in the booth" to a well known artist and family member YG-City. For sure then the time and money would be well spent. After explaining the situation,YG-City agreed to hit the studio just to check things out and possibly do his thing. While sitting in the engineer's booth and talking the decision was made that the only way YG-City would do anything (Then known as "Ray") would have to get on the track with him. Of course not. But after a little encouragement gave it another shot and created the song "Just The Way Ah Like It" an easy going summer jam and "Divas" which caught the ear of local dj. Dj Skeet Boogie which broke both records over the airways in 2012, in his mixset on 98.9fm before the show was moved to another station. Ray didn't want his real name used so a stage name was need and badly with the approching drop date. After days of tring differnt names and watching blackmarket dvds, came across Safe House and being a big fan of Denzel Washinton and the characther he played chose the name Tobyn Fross spelled diffrently from the movie though. Now many songs from there with two releases and another on the way Tobyn Fross is on the rise.
