All you have to do is listen to him and you’ll realize why Chize Money is the ultimate franchise player of the South and is serious when he says, “ALABAMA STAND UP!!” Brandon Moncrief aka Chize Money was born to rep the mean streets of Montgomery. In fact, his own life is reminiscent of the movie “Hustle & Flow.” Growing up on the south side of the “Gump,” he was raised in the all Black neighborhood called Ridgecrest – an area marred with heavy gang and drug activity. So, when Chize raps about the harsh hustle of street life, his lyrics are real, passionate and hard-hitting at the same time…just like his style. Refusing to be a statistic to the hard streets and dope game, Chize channeled his street-hustling energies into hard beats and dope rhymes. Rapping since 1996, he became driven and determined to make a name for himself and Alabama as being a force in hip hop. Known in the streets as “Chop” and bred from the notable 5-member group “Deuce Komradz” (who took the streets by storm in 1998 with their hit singles, Everybody Wanna Be Down With The South and Ridin’ N’ Smokin), Chize Money knows first hand about being a successful street “hustla.” His current single, Rich Rich, talks about his hood rich lifestyle, from where he’s been as a street husler to where he’s planning to go as a rap mogul, actor and more. And for Chize Money, his plans are to go straight to the top, taking Alabama with him.
