| About Billiboi Music Group | Long time friends, Karriem Adams, Rufus Gordon and Tavares Garrett all share the same passion “Music”. Blending their professional backgrounds with what use to be a hobby, came very natural to the California natives. Rufus Gordon also known as Boogie Madeff came from a family where his father was a very well known radio disc jockey from Detroit Michigan and his mother was a singer from Kansas City, Missouri. Music followed closely and started early for the aspired West Coast rapper. Tavares Garrett best known for his appearance on MTV’s TRL Wanna Be A VJ-3 show in April of 2000 found himself behind the microphone at Northern California’s largest college FM radio station 90.5 KSJS hosting his own homegrown radio show “Camp Radio”. Breaking in local and national artist at an all time high in the community where he once only had a dream. Staying committed, he continues to learn about the business of music and the innovative fashions that propel the industry to this very day. Karriem Adams a college graduate of Northern Arizona University with a BA in Business Communications found himself back home in Northern California after graduation with a concept and a vision that we now know to be Billiboi Music Group, or BMG. He’s very well respected and known in Northern California for his hard work and strong communication skills. The ability to close a deal and make something out of nothing is exactly what fuels the loyalty, determination and honor of which BMG is based upon. Karriem, Rufus and Tavares have known each other for more than 30 years collectively and from the first time they heard the tone of Boogie Madeoff’s voice, and the flavor of his flow they knew what Boog had was extremely original and signature, so much that the Compton born college grad and the Mtv Vj turned college radioman had to do something so that Boogie wouldn’t end up just another undiscovered talent. With a CeeLo twang, a gangster swag and a work horse work ethic. Karriem created Billiboi, signed Boogie Madeoff, hired Tavares to oversee operations and now Billiboi Music Group is taking on the world of music one hit at a time. A family of friends who believe in each other and the communities they represent with out hesitation or doubt to be nothing but the best. |
