About Messelwork Girma | I love music. Music and lyrics were always flowing though me though, urging to be shared. Writing lyrics is a kind of gift I've always had. I've had to work hard to develop my knowledge of music from the basics though, always dreaming to write music to accompany my lyrics. I composed my first songs “Bechayen Piano Zend Aine(Alone at the Piano Aine)” which is written in memory of my late wife, Aine kassaye in 2012. Please read the professional review and the feedback I received: Hi Messelwork: Almost forgot I was going to give you a run down on my opinions/suggestions for the new batch; As I already mentioned I love: ''Forever you” and 'The Golden Time'; I'm assuming these do not have vocals and are instrumentals only; I think both will go very well as 'pads' for movie trailers, background music etc…. Thanks. Tom Herr Girma, I’ve listened to the 2 great songs of yours, and here are my reviews: `There is something eternal & soul-stirring about Love Songs. They never age, whatever the period- be it about a lost love, unrequited love, love surrendered. The emotions evoked always find their way to fertile hearts. Asera Hulet Derzon is such a love song, sung with virgin vocals at once imprisoned and quivering, and then set free to scale the melodious heights. I met this `budding’ artist some 30 yrs ago at a Fremdsprache Schule in Hamburg Germany, and never once did he exhibit any talent for music. Oh my, has he come a long way since! Asera Hulet Derzon is a fine creation by this new artist who clearly demonstrates a lot of future promise, with vocals not in need of much fine tuning either…’ `With the refreshingly romantic Afuwa Chilleshallehu, the artist enters the realm of world music, I feel. The particular appeal of this song is in its universal theme and melody- reminiscent of Afrocuban/Jazz/Latin music, the Samba, like the vastly popular song from the sixties, `The Girl from Ipanema’,with its soothing rhythm, nice blending instruments.. a winning arrangement, buddy!’ Lawrence Brako, 11/2011 On SongCast Radio Spotlight on LATIN –OCT 18,2012 Spotlight on INSTRUMENTAL –JUN 23,2012 Spotlight on REGGAE –SEP 29,2012 UK Songwriting Contest 2012 Results: Received for each three songs Award, a Commended Entry Certificate for participating in the contest 2012. ________________________________________ Messelwork Girma Category: Open Score: 6 Position: Commended Entry One Voice Get Certificate Messelwork Girma Category: Pop Score: 6 Position: Commended Entry Clock's not ticking!
