About Wainbow Productions

Wayne Simpson, a native of Birmingham Alabama, has resided in New York, since 1983, when he relocated, to pursue a career in music. He has been writing music and poetry, since he was a child, and has had many life experiences, during his journey, that have strongly contributed to the messages in his songs. Wayne plays all instruments, on his cd, STANDING OVATION, with the exception of lead guitar. All is done in his studio that he built in his attic. The ability to do this (particularly with Bass, Drums and Keyboards) helps him to make the music come alive. In this collection of some of Wayne's favorite songs, there are various styles, from R&B, funk, pop to Gospel.
When asked about his music, Wayne said the following:
"I'm proud to say that I am "old school, when it comes to my views on music.. I believe that lyrics are the most important part of my music. The music helps to set the mood for those lyrics, based on the emotions I am feeling , at the time. If I can touch somebody, through the songs that I write, even if I don't make a dime, I feel like I've been successful."

Some of Wayne's grooves will have you rocking in your seat but the songs' lyrics will make you think .
When asked what he wants people to get out of his music, Wayne said:
"The message and the emotions in a song will make that song live forever. For example, I wrote a mother's day song that my kids sang for their mom when they were 6 and 9 years old. It wasn't perfect but it was so sincere that I put it on the cd, just the way it was.
PLEASE UNDERSTAND>>>In a dance setting, I can get out there and party with anybody. But, when the party's over, I hope that my music will help you visit that place, in my soul, which inspired me to write these songs. Sit back, close your eyes and listen to the words, as well as the music. Hopefully you will feel some of the things, in your personal life, that I have felt in mine…like love for my wife, on our wedding day….love for my kids and watching them grow up….appreciation for true friends….and the pride that many of us felt, when we, as a nation, came together and proved that we can elect a president, regardless of his race, ethnicity or political affiliation, simply because we believe in his message and his potential. We may never agree on every issue. That's life. However, we should be proud of the progress we have made, as a country, over the past few decades. Having grown up in Birmingham and seeing how far we have evolved, today, I was inspired to write the title cut on my cd.
I hope you enjoy it."

Wayne's most recent single release "We're Gonna Be Alright" is an up tempo, inspiring and still funky song. It tells you that no matter what hard times come your way...We're Gonna Be Alright"
