At the age of 7 his parents recognized that he had an interest in music and enrolled him in music school where he was formally trained to play the piano. By the age of 12 he had become a talented organist and began to play for his state and jurisdictional choirs in the state of California. He has been afforded the opportunity to sing and play for many well known Pastors, Prophet Roger D. DeCuir, recording artist Pastor Betty Griffin Keller, Bishop Goodman, Pastor's in Pasadena California, the late Bishop Benjamin J. Crouch, Sr., father of gospel legend André Crouch,Eld. Love of the Bethesda COGIC, Bishop J.B. Hackworth, Bishop Charles Blake, Pastor of West Angeles COGIC and now the International Presiding Bishop of the COGIC, gospel legend the late James Cleveland, Dr. J.C. Hanes of Hartford Connecticut and Pastor Glen Spaulding of the Deliverance Evangelistic Church of Philadelphia Pa to name a few . Being born and raised with music in his blood, he has been privileged to serve as a musician for well over 30 years under the tutelage of the late Dr. Mattie Moss Clark, Twinkie Clark, Dr. Lavonia Whitley, and Dr. Iris Stevenson. Down through the years he has also worked as a background vocalist for top gospel and secular artists such as Pastor Kim Burrell, Dwayne Woods, Donald Lawrence, Dorinda Clark-Cole, Twinkie Clark, Tim “Bishop” Brown, his cousin Crystal Rucker, Alex Ingram, Vanessa Mitchell, Dave Hollister and Shanice Wilson. He has also worked with top gospel producer Asa (Alex) Ward Dwight has been blessed with this gift for such a time as this. God has allowed him to perform and be connected with many renowned artists and as he continues to allow God to order his steps.
