Josmanuel Aybar, aka, J-Notes, was born and raised in Washington Heights, NY. With his Dominican background, he grew up to the sounds of merengue and salsa. Since a very early age, J-Notes would sing different Spanish songs for his family at various functions. Then, he started listening to Hip-Hop and R&B and this became a major influence on his musical style today.
