Currently in San Antonio,Tx Julius Benton better known as "BlackCaesar" was born in North Carolina. At a early age Jay developed a certain knack for music from his peers. Growing up around his grandmother introduced him to his first taste of oldies soul music. Coming from a military background Jay moved alot while he was younger and stayed in many different cities throughout the south. Bouncing back in forth between homes Jay found himself staying with his mom. At the age of 13 he moved to San Antonio where he later found he would be staying with both parents after a short separation of the two. While attending high school Jay ended up meeting a few neighborhood friends who also had a passion for music. After hooking up with local rapper and friend Prince Guerra, the two begin to make custom mixtapes and immediately started selling thier reknown series "Texas Sluggaz" around the way. During the small success that came from their notorioty the duo founded their own official label "Thorobread Ent." in 2009. After signing his partner and himself to their own label their plans have taken off at an phenomenal rate. Now with a label, the main goal between the two is to keep pushing their sound to the limit and reaching fans across the world. BlackCaesar cites Christopher Wallace aka Notorious B.I.G as his main influence and keeps a high hope of changing the world with his music.
